License & Usage

These rules apply to HalfLight digital artwork downloads unless a specific product page clearly states different terms. Purchasing a file grants a limited, non-exclusive personal-use license. Copyright and ownership of the artwork remain with the artist.

Allowed personal use

  • Download and keep the purchased file for your own records.
  • Make a reasonable number of prints for display in your private home, personal studio, or another non-commercial private space.
  • Resize the image proportionally for personal printing without cropping, recolouring, removing a signature, or changing the artwork.
  • Provide the file to a print service only as needed to produce your permitted personal print, provided the service is not given any right to retain, reuse, sell, or distribute the file.
  • Keep a personal backup copy of the purchased file.

Not allowed

  • Reselling, redistributing, sharing, sublicensing, gifting, or publicly uploading the digital file.
  • Using the artwork, a substantial part of it, or a modified version on products, packaging, branding, advertising, templates, stock assets, or materials for commercial use or resale.
  • Claiming the artwork as your own creation or removing identifying marks or signatures.
  • Minting or using the artwork as an NFT, public license, or tokenized asset.
  • Using the artwork or file in an AI training dataset, generative system, model-training process, or dataset offered to others.

Printing responsibility

Screen and print colour can differ because of displays, printers, inks, paper, and colour-management settings. Choose a print provider and output size that preserve the original proportions. HalfLight does not authorize destructive cropping or alteration merely to fit a standard frame.

Copyright and enforcement

The file purchase and the copyright are separate. No copyright, trademark, moral right, or other ownership interest is transferred. Uses outside this license require prior written permission from HalfLight or the rights holder.
