Sky through a Rot Hole 《朽洞观天》

English: In a piece of wood eroded by years, an irregular rot-hole becomes a frame for the sky. Decay and eternity, prison and freedom braid into a visual fable. The cracked grain reads like an elder’s palm lines recording weather’s erosion; yet beyond the fissure lies a lucid blue—mocking what the tree guarded all its life: the most ordinary sky. The work asks whether, within rot-hole-like confines, we still keep the courage to gaze upward; the light through decay is both nature’s irony and transcendence of limit.

Chinese: 在一块被岁月蚀穿的枯木上，一个不规则的朽洞成了窥视苍穹的镜框。《朽洞观天》以腐朽与永恒、禁锢与自由的对比，编织视觉寓言。木纹如老人掌纹，记录着风雨侵蚀；而透过狭小裂隙，却能望见澄澈天空。艺术家叩问：当生命被“朽洞”般困境局限时，是否还能保持观天的勇气？那抹从腐朽中透出的天光，既是自然的嘲弄，也是对局限的超越。
